A few more

This should be the end of the catching up for my 2-month absence.

I can't decide if I like this one:

... or that one better:

And finally, *my* photo from Mexico:

That's it for today!

So happy to be back...

As you can see, I was a bit behind in my blogging.

This roll starts in Otis, Massachusetts.

*The gang* spent an incredible weekend in Alex's parents' house by a lake.

We had the best time in the world swimming, paddling, eating, drinking and laughing.

There were no mermaids in the lake though, just impostors.

I wish my life was made out of weekends.

For example, take the following weekend:

... we were on top of the Mont Royal in Montreal.

Having lots of fun.

And then, there was another week of work, and after that... another weekend!

This time, we went to the North Shore of Massachusetts, to observe the sexy lines of lobster-fishing boats.

Did I say that I loved the summer?

However, you don't need to go far to find Fishie subjects: a couch by the railroad on Cambridge street will do.

Or the railroad crossing sign.

And organic subjects always do it for me.

Including organic chemistry.

Fishie is back!

I apologize for the loooong pause in the Lomoblog, here is what happened. I had this film to post on the LomoproJeCt, but since I'm a bit lazy I typically wait until I get a film developed before I post my previous roll. When I went to Mexico in May, my beloved Fishie broke on the second photo I took. I was extremely sad, I tried to fix it, I cried very hard, but there was nothing to do. When I got back I went to the store and exchanged it, and I just got a new film developed, so it's time to post.

This roll starts on the beautiful Pacific shore of Point Reyes, California.

Gorgeous place, magnificent weather, fantastic hike, amazing company... It doesn't get any better.

The second day of our weekend trip to sunny Cali, we explored the city. I love SF.

But that was just a weekend, and on Monday morning we were back at work in Boston.

Thankfully, it was the season when every single tree over here was blooming, which cheered us up very much after an endless winter.

Jocelyn and I took numerous pictures of every single flower on our way anywhere.

Then it was the end of the Miami project at work, and I flew to Fort Lauderdale again.

I didn't make it to the city this time, but I had a few hours to enjoy the jacuzzi at the hotel while my coworkers were in a critical meeting.

It was pleasant.

But that was another 2-day trip, and then back to work. My friend Zach came to visit from NYC, and on a very cloudy day we walked all over the MIT campus to see what he missed (or not) going to school in Berkeley.

Rain, industrial-looking building, abandoned railroads, constant ventilation noise in the streets...

... That's what he missed. But also the cool Stata center and its funky architecture:

That cloudy day, the sailing boats were giving a bit of color to the otherwise very gray skyline.

And the trash bins were smiling.

I'm so glad to have my Fishie back.

... Because you never know when you'll encounter a Fishie moment.

Trip to Outer Space

From times to times, I take a trip to the Moon. It's refreshing.

Side note: if you'd like to receive a lomocard from Mexico, you have until Friday, May 25 to send me your postal address. I couldn't find a post office on the moon, I apologize.

Fishie in Miami

With the typical development delay, I am pleased to introduce Fishie's fun trip to Miami a few weeks ago.

This really cool advertisement for Jet Blue (which I recommend, by the way, they do have a lot more legroom than other airlines) also shows the geography of our beloved Massachusetts, since you may see the horn of Cape Cod in the distance. The map below shows approximatively the spot where I took the picture.

And there you go for the cool vegetation of Florida:

Next time I send a film to the development shop, I should really ask for a photo CD in addition to my paper prints, because I'm not quite satisfied with the colors of my scanned photos. I got a CD for film #3 and the results are just superior.

So cute....

I apologize for the old-fashioned colors that look like I found these pictures from the 70s in some remote drawer... If you want the cool paper slideshow just come visit me.

This one is one of my favorites:

But I like this one as well:

The alligators were not very photogenic, but the Everglades were:

The auto-color function in Photoshop is just killing the colors of this one...

Some random Chilean people that I met on the beach:

Good news: I'm going back to Miami on Monday for a client meeting! I won't really have time to go anywhere but I'll definitely enjoy a relaxing 2-day trip for a 2-hour meeting!
